About Us

Building Healthier, Stronger Communities for Women and Children

The Global Community Change and Development Initiative (GCCDI) is a non-governmental organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable groups in our communities, especially women and children.

We believe that every person deserves access to health, education and opportunities to thrive, no matter their circumstances.

Led by professionals in public health, nursing and midwifery education, and research, we design practical, evidence-based programmes that respond to the real needs of the communities we serve. From health awareness and community care to student guidance and counselling, our work focuses on lasting change rather than short-term relief.

  • Women & children firstOur programmes are shaped around the needs of vulnerable women, children and families.
  • Evidence-basedResearch and data will guide how we plan and measure our work.
  • Professionally ledGrounded in public health, nursing and midwifery education, and research.
  • Lasting changeWe focus on long-term impact rather than short-term relief.

Our Programmes

What we plan to do

GCCDI is at an early stage. These are the programme areas we are preparing to deliver with communities, partners and volunteers.

Health Awareness & Community Care

We plan to hold health education sessions on nutrition, hygiene and disease prevention, and to help families connect with local health services.

Maternal & Child Health

We intend to support pregnant women, new mothers and caregivers with information on antenatal care, safe delivery, breastfeeding and immunisation.

Student Guidance & Counselling

We plan to offer guidance, counselling and mentoring to help students, especially girls, stay in school and make informed choices about their future.

Women's Empowerment

We aim to run awareness and skills sessions that help women build knowledge, confidence and independence for themselves and their families.

Research & Evidence

We will use needs assessments, surveys and evaluation to understand what communities need and to measure the difference our programmes make.

Community Engagement & Advocacy

We will work with community leaders, families and stakeholders to raise awareness of the rights and wellbeing of women, children and vulnerable groups.
